What led you to join Gaisler, and what excites you most about working here?
I joined Gaisler after completing my Master's Thesis at the company because of its strong reputation in developing high reliability processor IPs and ASICs for space application. The opportunity to work on technology that powers real spacecraft and advanced embedded systems was particularly appealing. What excites me most about my work is solving complex hardware design challenges alongside other highly skilled and experienced engineers.Could you describe your role and primary responsibilities?
As a Hardware Engineer working in the Digital IP Core section, I work on the design, development, and verification of IP cores as well as FPGA designs from different vendors. My responsibilities include implementing new features in RTL, debugging and optimizing designs, running simulations, supporting FPGA validation, and working closely with software to ensure our products meet requirements.Tell us about something new you've learned since joining Gaisler!
One of the most valuable lessons I've learned is the complexity and coordination required for successful SoC integration. Recently, I have also been doing Design for Testability (DFT) for the ASICs, and it has been a steep but incredibly rewarding learning curve that has changed how I view hardware reliability.How would you describe the culture at Gaisler?
The culture at Gaisler is collaborative and welcoming. There are a lot of experienced engineers who are always willing to share their knowledge. Outside of work, we also have an activity group the regularly organizes social events and activities.Are there any standout projects or achievements you'd like to share?
For the past 1.5 years, I have been working on developing a high-performance single-board computer. The project is scheduled for launch next year, and I am incredibly excited to see the hardware I’ve worked finally deployed in orbit.
